January 20

I was truly blessed with a Christmas season surrounded by family and friends again this year! There were two major highlights –the season spent with Grace, Margaret, my daughters and their partners plus having the opportunity to visit with most of my immediate family and friends. Grace was wound tight as a corkscrew. She definitely knew what this was all about and we all took pleasure in viewing the season through her eyes.
Carolyn hosted a gathering at her house which was full of laughter, fun and friendship with people around her kitchen. I was also fortunate to have the opportunity to visit with other friends who were around in Lloydminster.
New Year’s Eve Stacey, Bill, Mikaela, Matt, myself and some of Stacey’s friends celebrated at the Hotel MacDonald in Edmonton. It was a splendid and posh Gatsby evening. I felt like I was truly in that era- a memorable evening spent with people I love. What a way to begin the year 2016!!
My flight back was slightly bumpy but other than that I sailed right back into Taipa and into the prekindergarten scene again. I think that it’ll probably be the only time that I have three consecutive boarding passes-January 1, 2, and 3rd although it was only 17 hours flying time total.
Since then, I’ve ventured to the mainland and found a huge underground mall which I’ll definitely be visiting again. I was also shown where some fabric stores and a reputable tailor were located in Macao. I am awaiting one dress coat and a blazer to be sewn and then I’ll decide if I return there to have other items tailored.

Hoping 2016 began on the right track for all of you reading this.
