Ahead to Summer

Hello all,
I've been listening to many stories coming out of Ft. McMurray and heroic ones with respect to the firefighters and people supplying food. Amazing and tragic at the same time! I'm listening to a podcast by a motorcycle club  rider right now of  delivering sandwiches. The lady 'Betty' speaking made 800 sandwiches and coffee for the firefighters.
It's been pretty quiet here other than a rain day and school closure but other than that the days are moving right along. Soon it will be June and winding down time. My days are filled with teaching prekindergarten and I am trying to work out twice a week plus do a yoga workout one day a week in my apartment. I've been doing a lot of eating since I arrived in Macau and it's caught up with  me so time to get it under control.  It is very difficult to eat healthily here but am taking steps to try to do so.  I went to my favourite produce stand in Coloane this afternoon to pick up fresh produce. That was after enjoying my fill of pancakes at Paddington's Pancake House in Macau. Eeegads-should of probably walked there and back.  I also spotted a flower stand on my way to the bus stop and was overjoyed to purchase some lilies and statice for my room. Besides my daughters, my friends, the sunrises, sunsets and the stars flowers are what I miss most.

In June I  have a few jazz concerts that I am attending, spending a weekend in Taiwan at the beginning of June and going over to the mainland for the day, tomorrow.
Have you ever seen a tree covered with growth like this on it's branches?

Each class in the school created a mural to grace the construction fence at the school. This is Prek1's mural.

What a rain day looks like from my classroom window! We had to send children home at 1:30. My class is participating in a nature walk in the schoolyard.

This is how they fix a sole in China that's broken away from it's heel.
