You buy an umbrella the first day and carry it with you
everywhere for sun and rain!
A lot of people wear plastic or cloth shoes because leather
gets ruined in the torrential rains and take a while to dry out.
There are a lot of delectable eating places.
Never shop on the weekend unless you have a lot of time to
stand in line– it is incredibly busy.
There are many people outside even during late evening-the
coolest time to be out.
It is very safe to walk about on your own.
You purchase only as many fruit and vegetables as you can
eat in a few days because even when stored in the fridge they spoil quickly.
For a price you can pretty much purchase any food item. One
Dutch or New Zealand cucumber runs around $6 Canadian.
Taking a taxi is an inexpensive mode of transportation-20
minute walk to TIS, take the staff bus or a $4 taxi ride.

Hello there my adventurous friend! I hope you are having the time of your life. Joining a dinner club sounds like an excellent idea. What a great way to get out and have new experiences. Back home here we've had 8 days of school and all the grade one teachers in my hall are exhausted. I think we block out the beginning of the year like a person blocks out pain after surgery....you just forget for a while until all the chaos and energy drain comes rushing back....Keep up the blog, what a great way to include us in your fun. Take care
