Home of the famous Singapore Sling at the famous Raffles Hotel- Following the turn of the century in colonial Singapore, Raffles Singapore was the gathering place for the community and Long Bar was the watering hole. Unfortunately for the ladies, they could not consume alcohol in public, and fruit juices and teas were the preferred choice.
The talented Ngiam thus saw a niche in the market and decided to create a cocktail that looked like a fruit juice, but was actually infused with gin and other liqueurs. Masking it in pink gave it a feminine flair and together with the use of clear alcohol, he cleverly led people into thinking it was a socially acceptable punch for the ladies. With that, the Singapore Sling was born.

Clarke Quay/Boat Quay house restaurants and night clubs along the Singapore River.
Ride on the River Rivercruise-Along this ride you will be amazed by two centuries of heritage riding an eco-friendly speedboat unlike the bumboats that used to take their cargo -rode along the Singapore River and the quays. The highlights spotted were the Raffles landing site, Marina Bay, Marina Bay Sands, and Esplanade Theatres.

Orchard Street shopping-Asia’s most famous shopping street which is 2.2 km long. We walked only about ¼ kilometer of it.
